IJI doco screens at Dutch film festival

Hunter2

A documentary produced by IJI students has just been screened at a film festival in the Netherlands.

“Hunter” tells the story of a seal-hunter in Greenland, and explores the future of the industry there.

Struan Purdie (New Zealand), Anne Lebreton (France) and Bobby Schinkel (Netherlands) all travelled to Greenland for the project last year.

Their work has now been showcased at the CampusDoc Film Festival in Utrecht.

Programme leader Dr Verica Rupar says it shows the high calibre of work being produced by students in the Inclusive Journalism Initiative.

“It’s great to see the hard work and talent of these students being recognised,” she says.

“I look forward to seeing what Struan, Anne and Bobby go on to produce next.”
